Who can forget these!
2 1/2 cups flour
1/4 Cup warm water
1 yeast cake
3/4 Cup milk
1/2 t salt
1 egg
1 1/2 T sugar
Dissolve yeast in warm water and add 1 t extra of sugar Scald milk, add sugar, salt and cool til luke warm. Add yeast and slightly beaten egg. Sift flour into liquids and beat Cover and let rise for 1 hour. Roll out and dip into milted butter and fold in half. Let rise for 20-30 min. bake at 425 for 20-30 min or until nicely browned
I'm pretty sure she doubled or tripled this recipe because there were at least a million rolls at every family function. love you all

Texas Caviar
2 15 oz cans of Black Beans (I substitute one can for a can of black eye peas)
1/2 cup of celery chopped
3/4 cup of green onion chopped
2 cups of tomatoes chopped
1 green pepper chopped
1/4 cup cilantro minced
1/2 a red pepper if you have it
1 avocado if you choose
MIX
whisk together:
1/3 cup redwine vinegar
1/3 cup olive oil ( I do less than that)
2 tsp tabasco sauce
1/2 tsp cumin
1&1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
ADD and MIX
Stir in about one cup of cooled rice after -brown basmati rice is good
